Jenny MacDonald pushes the boundaries of the term “singer-songwriter”, stomping her way through dirty rock songs, swinging her way through jazz tunes, resting in a touching love song, and driving her way through the blues. Blurring the lines between every day life and a world of make-believe, Jenny illustrates a unique lyrical style that has been described as quirky, bold, and unmitigated.

Since the release of her debut album, “Jenny Kissed Me” (2008), Jenny has left her mark through-out the Eastern and Central provinces. Her album garnered attention from radio stations across the country including a feature spot on CBC Radio One’s “Atlantic Airwaves”.

In September of 2008, Halifax politely held the door for Jenny as she gracefully stepped into its colorful and eclectic music scene. Only a month after finding her home in the city, Jenny has shared the stage with many wonderful talents such as Charlie A’Court, Ian Sherwood, The Hupman Brothers, Christina Martin, Coco Love Alcorn, and even Elizabeth May and in June 2009, Jenny was highlighted as a Music Nova Scotia showcasing artist at their weekly songwriter’s event in Halifax.
