Bill Travis
Bill Travis hails from Halifax, Nova Scotia, and performs the songs of MUSHKAT, his own brand of existentialist folk-pop jingles. He finally settled down on Canada’s east coast in 2001, close to family, making some musical roots, in preparation for his debut CD, PERPETUAL MOTION MUSIC (2004) …available as an $8.88 download at mushkat.zunior.com (CD copies are available as well, through www.bullfrogmusic.com). He released his second full-length CD, CALENDAR, in 2007, and he performed the songs live for Nova Scotian audiences in the summer and fall of that year with the help of THE ALAMO DEFENDERS (Erin Costelo, Nick McInnis, and Chris Brown, with additional support provided by Joey Latta and Ronok Sarkar). Since May of 2008, he has been playing local shows with the latest incarnation of the defenders: Mark Merrimen on bass guitar, and Gerry Rogers on drums.
Bill Travis will be performing at the AMP festival with his trio: The Alamo Defenders, plus special guest Caleb Hamilton:
The Band:
