The Dungaree Brothers have acquired quite a cult following: Dung-Heads, some of their fans call themselves. It’s no wonder, you know.

Their new album, Eureka! Baby, is collection of tunes that have been kicking around for a while. The d’bros, inspired by the incredible work of the Drive By Truckers, were working on writing an album of songs all related to the people and the culture of the north and south mountains that frame the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. The project was being referred to as the South Mountain Swamp Rock Opera. This project became obviously large and will require a lot of time and focus. The D’bros needed something to market the band with, and they needed something fast. They decided to shelve the opera for now and go into the studio to try and capture a taste of what it is they’ve been doing weekly at On the Verge restaurant.
