Molly Thomason

Molly Performing at the Dylan "Back Pages" show in Wolfville, 2008
Molly Thomason began teaching herself guitar when she was eleven. The first song she learned was Iris, by the Goo Goo Dolls. According to her mother, Molly arrived singing, but has been writing songs since she was eight. She started performing publicly when she played the child lead in Seussical the Musical, with Antigonish’s Music of The Night. Following that, she fronted a French band from her school at the French music competition “Frogstock”, in Sydney, Cape Breton. The band (L’Épicentre) won second place and got to record one song at a Radio Canada studio in Moncton, New Brunswick.
During the summer of 2008 Molly played at Stanfest as part of the Sherbrooke Village Songwriters Circle. She also opened for Liam Titcomb at Silver Glen and many others in Antigonish.
